Feb 13th

When the world outside seems a little surreal at times, I take solace in the familiar.
A morning spent lazily at home with my precious loved ones.

An afternoon luxuriating in the company of a very special birthday girl and all those who hold her dear.

Work beckons tomorrow.
With one chair that won't be filled.
I'm not sure what to expect.  What the energy at work will bring.  What support tools management will have put in place.  I'm wondering when the funeral will be.  How many of us will be given leave to attend.  That's the thing with the nature of my work, the calls don't stop coming, payments still need to be made, questions still need to be answered.  The world keeps turning.  That's what I mean by surreal.
