March 12th

This was our morning.

The beauty of living so close to the water on beautiful, beautiful days, is that we can appreciate the warmth of the sun and ocean first thing in the morning - long before commuters clean away their breakfasts, pack their picnics, jump into their bathers and load up the car.

Then just as they are arriving, right about the time when the sun commences its sting, we collect our belongings and meander back to the cool of the house to fill our bellies with lunch and relax in the shade through the hottest time of the day.

And if we feel so inclined, as we often do, we head back down for an early evening play, crossing paths with the homeward bound commuters.

These two times of the day are the best for beach play in my opinion.  No need for sunscreen or sunglasses - giving our skin and our retinas essential vitamin D replenishment.  They also happen to coincide with fewer people and much less wind!

Why did I think leaving all this was a good idea again?
